Honestly I probably would do acting, I took 3 years of drama in high school and fell in love with it. There's something so magical about sharing a passion with 20 different people in the room you almost become a little family in the right situation. One of the heartbreaking things in drama is learning that if you want to pursue it as a career the majority of people are going to be living paycheck-to-paycheck. So instead I took an IT course which I'm almost finished and if everything goes right I should be walking into a really good paying career. My friend who actually went ahead with the drama degree, he's doing a lot of shows but not making a lot of money off of it. I see how much fun he's having continuing the passion that we both once had, but the difference is I'm going to be making 60 Grand a year doing something I like, having a structured lifestyle compared to someone in the field of acting who will be making half of that, doing double the work that I do. It's really sad, but it's just the world we live in. I hope to do some small shows in the near future with him. It'll be more fun for me, but it'll be my friends actual future.
Pastry Chef. I did this for a few years at a High End Hotel. It was a very fulfilling job. I only left it because I was offered double the money to run a restaurant. Now that I have been doing that for a long time I think I'm ready to go back to being a pastry chef.
My own PC hardware assembly and upgrade shop.
Being a musician. The industry is so fucked right now.
