Soldier married to a friend of mine. She was sweet as an angel, had even saved $40,000 to buy him his favorite truck as a surprise when he came back from Afghanistan.
2 weeks out from shipping home and he gets busted nailing a subordinate. They arrest him. He calls from jail. She calmly hangs up, takes the kids, spends the $40,000 on college tuition and never looked back.
His career, his marriage, all over for a quick piece of ass.
There's plenty of videos of motorists who make a split second bad decision when driving - a wrong turn, a wrong lane change etc - they get into an accident and are killed instantly.
This means they literally go from being fine to being dead in a second or two.
My friend from high school messaged me on facebook my junior year of college. She said she wanted to catch up so I showed up to her place and was ready to make convo and chill. She said we were going to a party at her friends place which I found odd b/c she hadn't mentioned that. I shrugged it off and we went. It was some other girl's place and nobody else was there. She pulled out a meth pipe and started smoking. My friend ended up buying some off her and we left. She just needed a ride to make her pickup.
A girl I know suffers from migraines and has since she was a child. Runs out of her prescription and her "friend" hands her half an oxy. The rest is history. She was doing heroin within a month and moved to fentanyl. I have no idea where she is now or what she is doing. I miss her.
Friend of mine came back from Afghanistan after he ran over an IED and sustained serious injuries to his legs and back. The VA had him on heavy painkillers. A shitbag family member stole some of them, and when he called to get an early refill the VA cut him off. The doctors assumed he was abusing them and, being criminally ignorant about addiction, apparently figured cold turkey was the way to go.
Being in serious, life-impacting pain he turned to the black market. Without appropriate regulation he *did* become an addict. He then progressed from liver-damaging amounts of vicodin to whatever he could get on the street, then of course moved on to heroin.
There were bright spots along the way. When the VA started offering suboxone treatments he went for a few months, then got back on heroin.
He got a unkowingly got a bag of H laced with Chinese fentanyl in March of 2015. Shot it up and died. Went into the military a clean-cut, *super* intelligent guy and died with cops standing over his corpse calling him a junkie not six years later. It was maybe two years from the day of the IED to the day he died.
I firmly believe pharma execs, doctors who played dumb for continual paychecks, and anyone else who played a significant role in the widespread push of prescription opioids should be jailed -- executed, in the most extreme circumstances.
Didn't see it but one kid who lived on the same road as me threatened a young girl with a knife and told her to suck his dick. I think he was 12 and she was even younger. He also poisoned a girl by making her drink laundry detergents and telling her it was juice
Friends gf decided to break a girls nose in a bar. Attack was totally unprovoked and came down to 'i didnt like her face'. Although she never got jail time, she did get a criminal record. Which for her was a big deal because she was in final year law with an internship lined up. Law firm dropped her immediately because of the criminal record, and no other firm would take her either. She went from a promising law career to having to do any minimum wage jobs she can find.
There are people who are just too scared to leave their comfort zone, so they never take any risks. They never have any real meaningful relationships, because you can’t get hurt if your don’t put your heart it in. They don’t lead successful careers, or gain knowledge or a higher education. They work dead end jobs and never try anything new. They live where they think they’re comfortable, but really that’s more miserable than anything else because there’s so much potential for better things that’s just utterly wasted. I hate seeing it.
Story from my father. He knew a friend who had a very sweet girlfriend. The friend was out of town and returning home. It was his birthday. So she decided to decorate their home. Looks good. The last touch is switching the broken lightbulb. Grabs it, gets shocked, dead. Her boyfriend comes home to a decorated home, turns around the corner and sees his girlfriend lying dead on the floor.
The current raging issue in India is the gang rape and murder of a 8 yr old girl named Asifa . It has United everyone in making the govt accountable for such cases .
One guy working as a manager in a big bank tweeted something like this “ good thing she died , or she would have grown up as a terrorist ( she was Muslim “ )
He was reported to the bank official handle and he was terminated effective immediately.
So he lost his job and maybe have an awkward interviews throughout his life by a simple tweet
A former neighbour of mine, gay kid and deeply closeted (which I found out by encountering him out in the wild some 4 years ago much to both our surprise), used to get blackout drunk and wake up in stangers beds with no recollection of what had happened the night before.
Perhaps unsurprisingly he ended up testing HIV positive at the ripe old age of just 23.
Parents don't yet know he's gay, let alone living with HIV.
Had a buddy walk in on his wife banging someone. Weed smoke is thick in the room. He’s standing there slack jawed, stunned beyond reaction for a few seconds. Then he notices their baby just staring at him from the floor by the foot of the bed, laying on top of the crumpled clothes his wife and the guy had stripped off.
Both his wife and the guy jump out of bed, my friend goes to get to the baby.... He later told me his only thought was to get her out of the weed smoke... but his wife starts blocking him as apparently she thinks he is trying to go after her lover.
Then the guy snatches his clothes from the floor, causing the baby to go tumbling. Baby starts screaming and then my friend snaps and loses his shit. He gets into a physical altercation with his wife as she’s fighting him from going across the room and he ends up tossing her to the side.
Unfortunately, her lover had a knife in his pants which he then pulls. A struggle ensues and my friend gets the knife away from the guy and stabs him. He is screaming at the guy he is going to kill him. Wife jumps on my friend’s back to protect her lover and in his rage she gets stabbed too.
My friend grabs the baby and calls 911. Neighbors also have called 911 and relay the “I’m going to fucking kill you” shouts to the police and sounds of a fight.
Cops show up, he gets arrested. Turns into 2 counts of attempted murder which got him sentenced to “only” 10 years in prison given the extenuating circumstances.
My best friend when I was a teen.
She was already a heavy drinker, but she also smoked pot and occasionally took pain pills.
She started dating this guy, got pregnant, he took off, and with my help she kicked every bad habit and we got our GED'S together.
Boyfriend comes back when she's almost ready to pop, starts drinking again. Has the baby, drinks more and starts doing drugs with him. They argue in a hotel room after getting kicked our of her parents place and she leaves to go cool down. Boyfriend kills the baby.
Both go to jail, she gets out, starts doing heroin, meth, coke, basically anything she could get her hands on. Starts fucking this 50 year old dude to pay for all her shit, looses 100lbs (so she was about 90lbs by this point) and is in and our of jail for the next two years for fighting/drugs/theft/stealing cars.
Then she just...dissapeared. I have no idea if she died or not.
My cousin was a cool, sharp-dressed dude that I looked up to when I was young. I always enjoyed hanging out with him because he had fun stories, but it turns out that he was a meth- head. He became increasingly paranoid to the point of getting combative with total strangers. He must have picked a fight with the wrong person because my cousin was eventually gunned down in a drive-by. I was a pallbearer at his funeral.
Once I saw someone make a reddit account.
Heroin or meth. Or both I suppose
