I spent 4 days passing by this waterfall leaving from my cabin in Iceland. It wasn't until the last night that I stopped to finally photograph it. This was taken around 9-10pm if I recall. The sun in Iceland during June doesn't set until around Midnight, and it just barely sets meaning it never really reaches darkness.
Here's a fun picture of what my camera looked like after coming out of the waterfall.
Warning, it may frighten other photographers!
This is beautiful. I love shots of waterfalls taken from a more behind view, almost as if taking the photo from the point of view of the waterfall itself.
I remember driving through the Canadian Rockies and looking at all the beautiful mountains. At first you're all excited but after a while it's "look kids....another beautiful mountain"...and the kids be like "yeah...big fuckin deal." ...you know that what you're looking at is something extraordinary but it gets difficult to muster up anymore excitement.
Really want to visit Iceland. Maybe next year. :)
