19 CollideStorm A bit of background to getting this photo: I got up early one morning while I was staying in Yangshuo, which is a small town in Guilin, China. To my surprise, there weren't any other photographers doing the same that morning when I arrived at the river. It was super cool just sitting here though, watching the orange haze grow across the bizarre peaked horizon. Apparently, the whole area was once underwater millions of years ago, which is what gives the peaks their bizarre shapes. Tech Specs: Camera: Canon 5D Mk3 24-105 IS Lens If you are interested in more of my China photos, you can join me over here on Insta: [@phillipgow](https://www.instagram.com/phillipgow/)
5 Fishermang Seems most of the photos from there have this haze or mist on the mountains. I wonder what does make it so. Really cool photo though, so soothing and warm.
2 Ron_Jansen Nice atmosphere!
4 Cheel_AU It’s also my favourite picture you took there, too.

2 Dukesbag Great pic OP. This interested me enough to learn the history behind those interesting hills. Thought I’d share [this article](https://www.chinahighlights.com/guilin/geology.htm) for anyone else who’d like to know.
