Diver was uninjured if this is the same video I saw a bit ago.
This is why you really need to check your cage-diving operator. Too many of them do stupid things like having the shark chase the bait into places where it shouldn’t be.
The diver was unhurt. Shark got injured in the gills, but great whites are known to bite each other’s gills while fighting and survive, so it’s probably fine.
-takes hat off to jump in" - nah fuck that never mind
The better video or gif shows the diver exit the cage in the next seconds
I can imagine Bob Newhart doing one of his one-sided telephone bits with the tour operator talking to the cage manufacturer.
"yeah, I'd like to talk to you about your latest model, the Shark Handler 1T. Oh, you call it the S-h-1-t. Oddly enough that sounds right. Well, we were hoping to return the one we got, because it really has only one job, and if it doesn't do it we don't get alot of return business on the tours here. I mean Fred was in there and the shark was in there too, Fred is going to need a new wetsuit after that. "
This guy throwing his had like dude, not again
"Argh! There's a human inside!" - the shark probably
Guy in the cage was fine by the way.
I bet when the shark popped out with blood pouring out of its gills everyone was like “ah fuck me he’s dead”
Shark 1. "dude I slammed into that cage so hard I scared the shit out of him"
Shark 2. "hold my beer"
Holy fuck. How did he get in there? Did the man in the cage just get ate?
'The sign said it was a shark cage. Make up your damn minds.' -Shark
"Farewell and adieu to you fair Spanish ladies..."
I don't understand why shark cages big enough for a fucking shark to get in?!?
This certainly isn't the first video I've seen of that happening! I don't get it...
At what point do you decide as an engineer "we want big empty spaces in the bars this big, but not any smaller"?
(I mean, the diver has to be able to swim out of the hole in an emergency, that's probably their thinking.)
Throw chum in the water... throw people in the water while chumming... what could possibly go wrong.
