According to the original Facebook group post, the owner got her dog out of the water safe and unharmed, and learned a valuable lesson that any fresh body of water in Florida probably has a gator in it.
I saw the gator .001 seconds into the video, how can the dog and the owner not see that?
Live in Florida. When I was younger I worked construction. From the roof I witnessed puppy yapping by pond very similar looking to this. See gator creeping up. I managed to discourage gator with suppressing fire from my nail gun from about 30 yards.
WTF isn't the gator, it's the oblivious owner who clearly wasn't paying any attention. That gator was 100% obvious.
I'm English and even I saw the alligator...jeez
The most dangerous things we have in our lakes and rivers are shopping trolleys.
Seriously....How did the owner not see the outstandingly obvious danger?
That gator was obviously visible in the video two different times prior to the final sighting when the dogs owner then noticed it. Maybe it's because I grew up in Florida and have seen more Gators than I can count, but it blows my mind that it took the person filming this long to notice it. Almost seems intentional, but I'm sure it's not.
I love dogs and was very apprehensive watching the video in fear that I was about to see a K-9 homicide. Thank God it ended well.
The owner of this dog should be bitch slapped. There are alligators every where in florida.
At first the gator was most likely puzzled by the brazen dog coming towards it.
