[*detective staring at wall map with push pins designating missing dogs*]
In Dallas, it's sure as fuck not coming back
Poor lost monitor..
[Had a small one](https://i.imgur.com/1iVcFNm.jpg
) hanging around outside my window for the last 4 or so years, very friendly, it'd climb on me and take food from my hand.
It's been missing for the last 6 months.
Think one of the local tree snakes got it. :(
This is in fort worth right???? I gotta keep on the lookout
u/Ultimategrid and u/arcticrobot will be interested (they keep monitor lizards)
If it's not recaptured it will likely die in winter
Chances are this lizard will die in winter. And just because adults can survive in the wild during warmer months doesn't mean they'll breed. In NZ we have problems with red-ear sliders, snakenecks, Aussie water dragons, etc being found in the wild individually but they'd only be able to breed in the Far North.
