If you actually [try to track the origins of those terms](https://klotza.blogspot.com/2017/10/applications-of-higher-order.html), you run into [a usenet thread from 1996](https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/sci.physics/Jefferys$20pop%7Csort:date/sci.physics/eQLC6Tv_IVM/bLSEM3rtCk8J) where a guy named William Jeffreys says that's what they're called. They don't really appear before that. I haven't heard drop and lock before, where did you read that?
Because no one really cares about them except maybe a handful of people in the world, and even those won't use their name because no one can think of "sixth derivative of position" when you say "crackle".
They just use the mathematical concept without attributing a name because it's not worth it.
