Does anyone else find it impossible to open the OPs links (any OPs links) in/r/bestof when using the Reddit app on Android ?
The same is supposed to happen in veterinary practice. In theory if there is a fire we turn up the anaesthetic and leave the patient if it is close, or try to evacuate them if it is further away in the building.
We have had to evacuate our small animal surgical suite a couple of times, once when there actually was a fire. We put a load of sterile drapes on the patient and transported him to equine theatre to finished over there.
Didn't ever think of this possibility even after seeing hospital evacuations during the Northern California fires in Santa Rosa earlier this year. I'm honestly still surprised that the devastation from these fires up here wasn't bigger news
Part about leaving the patient and specifically stating if they died, it would be painless, is a bit unnerving.
