TIL that Brad Pitt once tried to buy himself out of the movie ‘Interview with the Vampire’. Upon hearing about the 40M$ exit clause, he shot the movie. It went on to receive 2 Oscar nominations and launched Kirsten Dunst’s career

8094 leftyfro I once rode in a car with someone I had never rode with for a short roadtrip. On the highway, pushed their foot on the accelerator for 1-2 seconds, then let off the accelerator for 1-2 seconds, for the WHOLE 35 MINUTES on the interstate. You noticeably felt the acceleration, and then felt the fall back from lack of gas. THE WHOLE WAY. I am not one to get carsick. I was getting carsick. Had a few opportunities to ride with them again, I declined.
1972 tahlyn I hate when people drive like that. Cruise control is a blessing.
1598 Navydevildoc Adaptive cruise control is life on my commute here in San Diego. I can just relax and let the car deal with the speed. I have really noticed my blood pressure improving with it.
809 Sofarbeyondfucked I totally understand. As a passenger it’s bad. Even worse when you’re driving a constant speed and pass a vehicle, only to have it overtake you so that it can all begin anew. 🤨
218 ubsr1024 Ya know I was just thinking "I don't go on enough road trips with my attorney"
399 MoreGull I use cruise control as much as possible and it has revealed to me how many other drivers are inconsistent idiots. Oh, hi person I've passed 3 times already on CC, passing me again!
36 dizzy4125 Back when lawyers were also cab drivers...
151 BlackNerve I got a ticket for using cruise control once. Almost went to jail for it. Speed limit = 40 MPH. Cruise set = 43 MPH Cop "clocked" me at 63 MPH. Complete and utter BS. Later on in life I found out the cop was fired for falsifying records. I **knew** I wasn't speeding. But it's not like you can argue it. I set my cruise control on purpose so I wouldn't speed.
