I have this. Got it at Dave & Buster's. Surprisingly reasonable, given their usual game ticket prices. Would have paid more and it's worth every ticket.
This is a terrible design, I would spend the whole time watching the timer instead of doing whatever I was supposed to be timing.
This is the first post that gave me a “Take my money!” reaction. I love hourglasses and, god damn, I love magnets. This also reminds me of one of those old magnet toys where you give the dude facial hair with those magnetic shaving things. Loved that toy.
I wonder if it works upside down.
I wonder if the particles are falling due to JUST gravity or if they're being slightly pulled down by magnetism, and if so is that altering the accuracy of the timer
Ha, just bought it 2 days ago. It's super quiet, kind of relaxing to observe in a quiet room.
"Holy shit how long have I been looking a this thing?"
> Timer is approximately 20 seconds long.
according to the Amazon description
I would just spend all day starting at this getting it to form patterns
It’d look cooler with ferrofluid inside, though I have no idea on how it would flow down.
