Ugh Ive tried to get like 100 seeds to sprout and none of mine do. How do you do it
That’s awfully cute! I have a video of one of my dogs eating a mango. He’s since gone to the bridge, but he used to get all the fallen ones in my yard.
He would then peel it with his teeth, and eat the flesh. He would leave the pit looking sucked but not eat it.
He adored them and bananas. My other dog at the time loved bananas and grapes-I didn’t know they were bad for them. He did ok though, the grape dog. He lived to 17.
Diller knows that the more pits he gives to his mom, the more nummy avocados are out there for him to eat!
Unfortunately he doesn't seem to realize that they'll all be in *other peoples* yards :(
Just a PSA in case anyone is still reading this thread and it's not been said: avocado trees from seed will produce very few avocados. Productive trees are all grafted. I know this because I sprouted some intending to plant them all over my neighbourhood and give them away, and was tipped off by a veteran gardener that they wouldn't fruit. Saved myself years of waiting on unproductive trees :(
