Cockroaches change their gait at mid-speed, a behavior previously only observed in fast mammals. This change in gait is similar to the way horses change from trot to gallop. The discovery could help engineers train robots to walk more stably and efficiently.

15115 maroonmonday You're a bot aren't you Riley? Sean you're really on a roll today.
6801 YourDrunkle “It’s not unlimited, it’s Verizon Unlimited*” *Verizon Unlimited is limited to 200GB, and we will throttle you back way before that.
1145 nootrino Back in the days of AIM, if you ever got a bot claiming to be some hot chick, and "she" asked you to visit some website to see her nudes, if you typed "credit card" at any point in the conversation, you would automatically get a response about it not being charged, it was just for age verification. So the conversation could start by you getting a random chat request. Bot: Hi, how are you? User: Good and you? Bot: I'm doing great! User: Credit card Bot: Oh, it's not going to get charged, it's just for age verification.

132 rhoxthebeast I once went into a Verizon store while I held the old 3g unlimited data plan with a 4g phone. I'd asked them if I bought something if it would affect my plan etc. They checked my account and we shocked at my ~450gb data usage (at the time my phone was tethered to my router which then shared that connection to my entire house) and then proceeded to lie to me that if I took whatever action I was asking about it wouldn't affect my plan. I think I was trying to buy a new phone on a deal that they said was just like 'buying a phone on credit and I wouldn't have to change my plan'. Went back the next day after researching phones and was told by the same rep after I got to the checkout that 'oh no this plan has to change to support buying this phone on credit'. Told them to fuck off, they lied to me, cancel any changes to my account. Then I walked out and never went back to that store.
76 keatz_tweetz I had a conversation similar to this with my mobile provider about my unlimited plan. I asked them how much unlimited meant and they said "enough"
221 bed-stain The only good thing a Verizon rep did for me was tell me that if I port my #s over I don't have to pay in full to cancel my service. Now I'll pay them $5 a month FOR THE NEXT 10 YEARS TILL MY BILL IS PAID IN ITS ENTIRETY SO THEY CAN'T HIT MY CREDIT. BY THEN THAT ~$600 ISNT GONNA BE WORTH SHIT BECAUSE OF INFLATION YOU COCKSTAINS.
