[WP] Following World War III, all the nations of the world agree to 50 years of strict isolation from one another in order to prevent additional conflicts. 50 years later, the United States comes out of exile, only to learn that no one else went into isolation.

16 Furcious Is it just me or would anyone else be freaked out if they woke up in the middle of the night and all you could see were these giant bright numbers sitting there on the wall
150 tallerThanYouAre It's fake. The actual product is a janky unit all in one piece. The goal was individual numbers free floating. r/ProductPorn, you tease.
63 CaterpieLv99 This is highly impractical and work of silly designer/marketers who don't talk to their engineers. Issues: - Where is it getting its power? A cord would make this very ugly unless you do some cool line drawing with it. - Black/white display. To see it during the day and night it would need to be able to do both and detect light levels for which setting to use. So you need a light sensor and it to not just be actual light, but LED. This ups the power consumption a lot. - It needs to be able to 'talk' to a computer. You don't want the control settings on the items. You want it to read your computer's clock. That part actually isn't bad and pretty cool. So the biggest issue I see is the large power consumption. I don't know how to handle that keeping an elegant shape. The act of swapping out batteries alone even monthly just sucks.
