Oh man those were the days. I think I spent more time playing Halo 3 than the rest of my activities combined
Halo 3 was awesome for making friends.
I like the party chat system and I get why they implemented it but in a way that kind of ruined the friend making that went on. When you're forced to communicate with people in the open like that and you can't just hide in your little private group, you meet more people.
Fucking love this. Man I miss the halo 3 days, I barley talk to anyone I used to play with back then, kinda sad really.
On that note if anyone wants to play halo MCC or halo 5 send me a message.
Question - how long did you guys play before finally deciding to meet up?
Halo 3 man.....some fun times especially during the summer when all-nighters were amazing to accomplish lmao.
For me, Party chat killed this kind of coming togetherness. Randomly I made some great friends online from in-game chatter, but that’s def on the slide since Party Chat. But Clubs is a step in the right direction.
Halo 2 + System Link, where you had to have real friends.
Remember tossing a patch cable out a window in a dorm to connect to the xbox on the bottom floor.
At one point over half of my friends list back when there was a 100 friend limit were people from Halo 3
The guy in the back was definitely the sniper.
God this made me miss the old Xbox live, when everyone had mics and they all used them. Met some of the best friends I’ve ever had on there, to the point that one of them bought me a copy of crackdown when I was too broke just so me and him could play the halo 3 beta together. Still miss playing Chromehounds and Rainbow 6 Vegas with you Discord88, wherever you disappeared to.
This is awesome! I met my husband playing Left 4 Dead 2 on the 360 and our teammates came to our wedding. I'm not very reddit savvy to link the picture we took, but I posted a picture of it on here :)
