Wow, you have the *whole* internet on your desktop?
I'm at a loss. Anyone know what prompted this behavior, or is this a shop?
You shouldn't delete your windows because then you wouldn't be able to see outside
"We can free some up by deleting your *old version of* Windows." This has been photoshopped. You get this message without that fishy blank space after "your" after updating Windows. You can downgrade back if there are any problems after updating, but keeping the old version's backup obviously takes up space. In short, this is one of the few features of Windows that DOESN'T belong on this sub, as it's very useful, and OP either loves karma or is ignorant.
Edit: I couldn't find a screenshot of this (nvm, see edit), and I've since deleted my windows.old folder (which is what selecting "delete" on this does) so I don't still get the notification, but I know this because I did get it. Here's a post on the Windows site with the same thing, only the text is correct: https://superuser.com/questions/1125771/windows-10-wants-to-delete-a-previous-version-of-windows-what-specfically-will
Double edit: site with screenshot: https://www.vitalit.si/windows-old-folder-after-windows-10-upgrade/
You get a very similar message when a new version is installed over an old one - or after fall creators update etc. It leaves the old version in place for a bit until you are sure you don't want to roll back.
seems like you already need the X server... may as well just fully switch over to Linux. even windows wants you to do it!
It actually means deleting the"windows.old" folder, in case anyone wants the magic ruined
