Your post was removed because of Rule #5:
> make your titles descriptive and just about the food. We allow titles that describe the food, just the food and nothing but the food. **Not allowed: location, the occasion, any narrative backstories, any extra details that do not describe what the food is.** This includes "from scratch", first time, tried my hand, etc. If you are going to post a compilation album, you must describe the first three ingredients. Avoid all caps. If you are posting [vegan/vegetarian/gf/keto] foods, do not title them with those words. Use the specific flair for them.
**Mod discretion will be used to encourage you to repost with a different title, like this auto comment for example.**
Please resubmit your post using a title which is just a concise description of the food. Thank you.
These are crunchy but can be made chewy for normal people. Replied to u/career_whatcareer with a more dedicated chewy recipe!
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, at room temperature (or, melted for chewy cookies!)
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 – 1 tsp salt, depending on whether butter is salted and preference. I recommend more!
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 375 degrees, and prepare a few ungreased cookie sheets.
Whisk together the butter, sugars, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in the baking soda and salt.
Slowly stir in the flour, then finish mixing the dough with your hands. Add the chocolate chips and mix until well-incorporated.
Shape into little balls (like maybe a large marble), and arrange with ample space on your cookie sheets.
Bake for at least 15 minutes, or until deeply golden to ensure a good crunch once cooled* ...*But if you are not making them for a crazy person, try 5-10 minutes instead for chewy.
Man, I would eat them way too quickly to have a stash. I am a sugar addict.
If I had a stash of those I wouldn't have a stash of those.
I. want. them. in. my. mouth. now.
They look great but you lost me when you imply that there will be leftovers.
Who has a cookie stash that they constantly refill? What is this?
