This is fantastic. I can't imagine how anyone could make this. Take a piece of marble and sculpt it into a face, showing under the delicate folds of a veil? It's so skilful.

Just out of curiosity, why don't artists make art like this anymore? Is is a matter of skill or matter of fashion? It seems weird how so many people consider this type of art (and architecture as well) so beautiful yet it's not popular among artists themselves.
