Robarts library, University of Toronto. It was supposed to model a peacock, but they forgot the whole colour thing. The inside reminds me of a prison from my time there honestly, just how grey and concrete everything is.
Edit: The peacock/turkey design apparently might not be true to the initial architects visions. But it was used as a prison in the movie Resident Evil: Afterlife, so it looking like a prison is true.
This is where the turkeys are plotting their revenge for thanksgivings past.
Nice to see Toronto represented on Reddit! Woohoo!!
Can confirm, evilbuilding indeed, spent so many hours studying there that every time I go inside I get a sinking feeling that nothing is going well, everything is total shit and I want to die
I feel like /r/evilbuildings should meet with /r/powerwashingporn. The result would be satisfactory to our evil overlords.
Can confirm, Robarts is the most depressing library at UofT. In winter it literally feels like a dungeon.
Can confirm this building has caused me much pain. Also, apparently the whole thing is sinking into the ground because the architects forgot to account for the weight of books - in a LIBRARY.
