Eugene was a feral cat who lived in my garden for months. I built a shelter and slowly earn his trust. One night, it dropped to -4°c, I go out and bring him in. He resists. The next morning he's reclutant to leave. Today, 2 months later, Eugene came to visit me in bed for the first time for cuddles.

138 michellelabelle This goes back waaaaaaaay further than XP. Windows 95 at least, and probably 3.1. I was in a computer lab in college in the 90s, after class hours. Some dude was up in front at the "instructor" station and apparently didn't know that his solitaire game was being displayed on the screen to 50 other people. He didn't notice the small round of applause when he won the game, but then one of the cards took a nearly vertical path and took about a minute to clear the screen. The tension built up in the room until it finally bounced all the way off and then everyone went nuts, clapping and cheering, which is when he finally figured it out. He laughed it off, but I know what he was thinking: *Oh my God, five more minutes of solitaire and I'd have switched over to porn.*
85 essenceofoli When I used to play this as a kid, I’d hate the ones with the black edges on. couldn’t stop watching until they’d been covered up!
174 Cheetawolf In Windows 10, it's the same, except ads and prompts for microtransactions bounce across the screen.
38 saranowitz Fun fact: this effect was a bug that everyone thought looked great and so they just kept it in.
