5 ImAjitPai The intent is to provide customers with a sense of pride and accomplishment for unlocking different websites. As for cost, we allow ISP's to select initial values based upon data from their customers and websites after repealing net neutrality. Among other things, we're looking at average per-payer usage rates on a daily basis, and we'll be making constant adjustments to ensure that players have websites that are compelling, rewarding, and of course attainable via payment. We appreciate the candid feedback, and the passion the community has put forth around the current topics here on Reddit, our forums and across numerous social media outlets. Our team will continue to make changes and monitor community feedback and update everyone as soon and as often as we can. (Seriously though call.)

10 TheXXII I got this from a user that posted the last time the FCC tried this: > For those that aren't sure what Net Neutrality is and why ISPs are wanting to get rid of it, Net Neutrality is what makes the internet what it is today and is important for the consumers/users. We depend on Net Neutrality to keep the Internet the free and open marketplace of ideas. Ending Net Neutrality may lead to: >1) Tiered internet structure which can make Internet very expensive for web users. Users who consume lots of data (Netflix, Youtube, video games, etc.) are especially at risk for massive price spikes. It opens the door for the internet to be sold by ISPs the same way that cable TV is sold, i.e. you can have, access to Facebook/Twitter/PSN/Xbox live etc for just $9.99 extra a month. >2) Monopolies. ISPs could also decide to create their own websites to compete with any existing website like Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, then put their competition in a more expensive internet package, pricing them out of the market, causing them to shrivel up and be replaced by your ISP brand version of [insert site]. >3) Stifled innovation. Even if the ISP aren't trying to directly compete, tiered internet can stifle innovative new upstart websites who can't afford to pay the ISP the premium to be included in an affordable tier of Internet. This will severely limit their visibility and ability to gain traction. >4) Censorship. ISPs can censor anything that they disagree with for any reason. Like this post for example. They've tried to censor others to get what they want. Ending net neutrality will make their censorship process instantaneous and without recourse. >5) Political oppression. Government may be able to have content taken down (or more stealthily priced out of the market) for political reasons indirectly, using the ISP's own 'free will' as a proxy. Meaning it gets to completely subvert the First Amendment free speech protection. I found it super helpful when trying to explain to family and friends what's going on so they can help.

2 Impatientsentientfox The FCC is trying to pass a law so states can't pass their own NN laws. Is that even legal? Is it even constitutional? Investigate the FCC.
2 KittyKills73 I say everyone drop Verizon, at@t, Comcast and any other company trying to take net neutrality from us... maybe if they lose enough customers they will mind their own business and fuck off.
