There was a park where I used to take my kids here in South Florida that had a metal tube slide. It was quickly replaced. Apparently baking children while playing was a bad idea.
First grade field trip: We filled a plastic slide by sitting hip to hip, with the biggest kid in class sitting in front facing out. We filled it in 60 seconds, but most of us started to panic and couldn't breathe. The big kid couldn't hear us shouting, so we freaked out and flug our limbs everywhere. Eventually we poured out the slide violently and blamed all our tears and injuries on the big kid. Teachers were pretty upset with us.
We had metal tube slides. They smelled like hot pee.
the horror of climbing up the tube slide and hearing someone about make their descent from the top
How didn't more kids break their necks falling off the side of the first one.
Fire elemental vs Lightning elemental.
Don't forget the rocks in your knees at the end
If you wore the right things it temporary enchanted you with static shock. I remember when I was in elementary school the kids would slide down then immediately go to touch someone else to zap them.
It was our first introduction to buff spells
Metal ones always smelled like burning ham.
I can hear the screeching sound the metal slide makes as my skin sticks on the way down.
