I remember sniping my twin while he is in the passenger seat of a helicopter from far away that was a lucky shot but I still remember him running to my room and saying HOW THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT YOU LUCKY BASTARD xD
Way back when Battlefield 1942 was popular, there was a great realism mod made by Sniper9. One of the many things he added was a way-higher level of damage caused by all weapons. Essentially one to two shots could and usually did kill you, no matter where you got shot. Grenades and the like were very dangerous - far more so than they are in the base game.
I was playing his remixed Omaha Beach. Everything terrain-wise was closer to 'real' conditions (the beach was expansive, the map was huge in comparison to the stock game's version - probably 3x bigger). There were the X and gate-style barriers in place as seen in historical photos, and the realistic German defenses up on the cliffs.
I (eventually) got up to a barrier to hide from the barrage of gunfire and readied my rifle grenade. Now, up until this point, I had played the base game as Artillery. I had a good idea of how the ordinance game physics worked, and was pretty good at hitting targets with it. I took a glance over the barrier and made a quick guess on the trajectory needed. I stepped back and took my shot -- and it hit.
The three guys I wiped out in that nest all spammed me with "cheater!" for a few minutes. My crew got to that nest, claimed it for our side and moved in-land. I managed to take out those enemies a couple of more times using the same technique and each time I was called a cheater.
Not sure if i still have the clips, but i had a few great RPG snipes like this on BF4, it's a great feeling.
Well if he wasn't texting and piloting he probably would have seen the rocket flying at him.
Hell of a shot but I see his point.
God damn I miss BF4 so much :'(
BF1 is incredible, but it's lacking something.
