I remember when i was a kid, we had just dropped my mother off at the airport for her to go to her sisters wedding. On the way back my dad pulled into the zellers parking lot and asked me if i wanted to play games with him all week, of course I said yes. We walked into the store and he bought the PS1 and about 4-5 games. We spent the next week playing hockey and playing playstation, its something i will always remember.
Now that I am a father myself I asked him about that week, he told me he had saved up for a long time and took the whole week off work in preparation for the most badass week i could ever have.
I still remember the amount of times I bugged my father about getting one for Christmas that year. I made sure I had a sound argument due to him being a lawyer (I was 10). I don't quite remember this "sound" argument I had but, I do recall bringing it into every single conversation I had with him. This picture brought back that same joy I had when I unwrapped the PS and Resident Evil. Thank you for bringing back my memory of it!
Nascar? You know your dad got that for himself really right? lol
I, too, got a Nascar game (98) for Christmas as a child.
Meanwhile, my older brother got Final Fantasy VII and the Playstation itself. He doesn't let me live it down.
I can hear flirting with disaster from here.
I miss the days of being a child at Christmas and you getting something you weren't expecting from a fat man in red.. now I'm an adult and I buy my own presents.. to me love me.. 365 days of the year though..
Ma bought us a Nintendo when I was about that age. Later she bought me a Sega Nomad. After that she said she wasn't buying me any more consoles. So in 6th grade, I saved up my allowance for 3 months, and bought a playstation on sale for $120. Taught me how to save money at a young age. I felt like the most mature, boss 6th grader this side of the missisisisiisippissi.
Find you someone who holds you the way this girl holds her PlayStation.
