Ctrl-Win-F4 will close the virtual desktop after you are done with it.
Every time a Skyrim mod has given me attitude I’ve either had to open task manager or just reset thank you for the timesaver!
I've played games that crash so hard Ctrl-Alt-Delete no longer works, and that's looked at by the OS before being passed to any program, unlike literally every single other keyboard shortcut. (Which is, incidentally, why it's used for the "press this shortcut to login" -- no program can respond to it, including viruses, so you can't have a fake login screen that responds to it)
Or set task manager window to always be on top
or my personal favorite, win+x, cmd, TASKKILL /F /IM tslgame.exe
That works even though you can't see the window, you just have to know the process name. If you're able to "peek" at other windows (if that's the right term) you can do tasklist and then peek to see your running processes.
This happened to me earlier and I signed out of windows to fix it.
This is brilliant. This changes everything.
When you find a life pro tip that is actually useful.
This doesn't appear to work on Windows 7
as a source game player,i will never be able to thank you enough
Well this helps out a lot now because I have games that crash or freeze every so often
Edit: added word
*If you're on Windows 10.
Windows shit 7 and 8 don't have virtual desktops.
Set the task manager to always stay on top. Solves a ton of issues.
Launch task manager and under options hit the always on check
I was having this issue but found out you can force the task manger to the top no matter what. That sped the process up for me.
Ctrl + Alt + *Esc*.
Straight to task manager.
E* SHIFT, not Alt, my mistake guys thanks for the headsup!
