To anyone who has actually touched a big cat - is their fur soft like a domestic cat, or is it more bristly?

Cheetahs are the dogs of the cat world...they don't have the murder claws in front...and they're not assholes...
I want a jungle cat. Always have. Always will.
God damnit, op. Way to fuck up. That's not the good damn chin, holy shit. I'm so fucking mad at you right now, jfc
I would love to work in some type of rescue program or something where this is the norm. Like teachers though, people in this line of work just don't get paid nearly what their value is. Oh well, enjoying watching everyone with their awesome big kitty relationships here on Reddit will have to suffice. With that being said...what a cute little kitty cat! (Yes I know they aren't little but they will always be babies to me)
Why haven't we domesticated large cats yet?
How does one get to be in a position where they can give a cheetah chin scratches? Do i need some fancy degree
I got the chance to hang out with & pet 3 cheetahs in South Africa last year. If they're raised by humans, they're incredibly chill, they love to be petted and purred non-stop. It was just like hanging out with big dogs. The owner of the ranch explained that cheetahs can be domesticated and live with humans whereas most other big cats (lions, tigers, cougars, leopards) cannot - even if they're raised by humans and taught to be "tame" they are still incredibly dangerous.
Logically we should be friends with all animals. Our hands are perfect for scratches, not too sharp but just right.
Imagine your food giving you scratchies and massages and in the end you take a bite and it tastes delicious. That‘s a dream I never had before.
