This officer sounds ridiculously power hungry. It was evident in the video as well. I'm glad the video got leaked and im thankful he's no longer an officer.
>The State Bureau of Investigation initially declined to investigate the case ...
Had it not been for the the leaked footage, it’s difficult to know whether the public might ever have learned about the incident or what was on the video.
Public access to police body camera or dashboard camera footage in North Carolina underwent a major change in 2016 with the passage of HB 972, which specifically exempts such footage from the state’s open records law.
Whoever leaked that video is doing GOD'S WORK
And this is why “good” cops who turn a blind eye to the bad cop here are not good cops.
Why don't we have a charge for "observing while not stopping" or something for other cops who don't step in and stop this kind of violence?
Lots of people seemed to profess faith in the system when charges were first filed. I'm sure that faith will be quickly restored when charges are filed next time, though.
Good. Once a cop is revealed to be crooked, everything they've done with a badge must be examined.
So, why is he not arrested and in jail like the rest of us?
Needs to be 27 counts of extortion and kidnapping added to that pigs rap sheet.
