Three bomb blasts in Austin and I had to scroll way too far to find it.
Weird. I only heard because I know someone that lives there.
I would think people dieing from receiving exploding packages would be bigger news...
A third bomb went off at 1150 this morning about 2 minutes from me, apd are evacuating streets right now and telling people to report any suspicious packages.
Why the fuck was it so hard to find this story in r/news? Isn't this a big deal? Are package bombs common, because I'm pretty sure they aren't.
This is scary as hell. The 2nd one was seriously 5 minutes from my house. I was at work when I saw the alert for it so I wasn’t nearby to hear anything, but this is just crazy.
I don't understand why this isn't on the front page already. It's a series of bombings in a major American city.
Why is a story about a junkyard fire in Portland overshadowing this?
The thing that makes me really nervous is that SXSW is going on and that draws thousands to the city.
how do they move a package without it going off and then it goes off later when someone picks it up?
I live near Austin and the (Interim)Police Chief just did a TV news conference. He said the packages weren't delivered by a service. The first two victims were black, the third Hispanic.
School shootings, package bombs, and a presidential affair. Welcome back '90s!
