Holy shit, that looks like a pure bred Belgian Malinois. Just a word of advice, keep him busy! They are super intelligent but need tasks to keep them challenged or else they can be destructive.
Animal control drop-off. 72 hr stray hold, not a single call about him. No collar, no chip. Got sent off to get neutered, so another 6 days with not a single call looking for a lost dog. 9 days without a claim, so I did.
He's balancing that rain gutter drain on his nose effortlessly
You did good! My first Mal came from a shelter too. He was on his last day at this (former) kill shelter north of Toronto and they dropped him off at the vet to be euthanized in the morning. The vet made a last minute plea to other rescues in the area to take him. I got the call at 9:30am to go get him and rushed off, no time to put a crate in my car. So the entire 2 hour drive back across the GTA he sat in the back seat and leaned over my shoulder to rest his head on my chest. He never made it to the next shelter, he was my buddy for the rest of his happy life. He passed away 5 years ago an old, happy, thoroughly loved, and respected good boy.
Correction: Somebody claimed this guy at the animal shelter.
Isn't that how adopting any dog at an animal shelter works?
