You could say they have...
...Seen the light.
I'll see myself out now
Why not dig thermal wells?
EDIT: "A lot of people ain’t doing this in West Virginia, a lot of people are against it actually. A lot of people want to go back to coal."
Sounds like some are refusing green jobs for political reasons.
>By many metrics, West Virginia is one of the poorest states in the country.
[When states are rated by "Median income", of the [26 "right to work red states", only 7 are in the top 50% of US states.](http://i.imgur.com/deilbqN.jpg
Take away the low population states that are temporarily befitting from the fracking boom and take away Virginia, which is high because of all the federal jobs, and Utah because of the Mormons only 2 right to work states are above 50%.
Red Republican states consume the excess tax revenue from the Blue states.
You would think the poor Red staters would notice....But thanks to the FOX/Limbaugh/Drudge 24 hour GOP bullshit machine they would have no way of knowing.
In West Virginia a *plug-in hybrid* is worse for the environment than a gas-only car because of all the coal power.
Cover the mountaintops removed for coal with solar panels - can't make it look any worse.
Instead we're pissing money away putting faux tile solar roofs on mansions in LA when it would be dozens (hundreds?) of times more effective in the Appalachians, who get significantly more sun than solar-crazed Germany.
Our public policy on solar is just nuts.
