4 bay NAS boxes. Any particular recommendations? The two 2TB drives in my 2 bay are almost full and it's time to upgrade/add.
Primary use is Plex via streaming media to an Intel NUC (which has the NAS shares mounted so the transcoding happens on the NUC, rather than the NAS). The 2 bay is a NetGear ReadyNAS and has been solid for 6 years.
No need for a particularly beefy processor (due to the heavy lifting being done on the NUC as above), no real need for hot swappable drives. Price point < £500.
My sd card is locked, read only. I can't format what do I do?
Please ELI5 what blockchain technology is.
Why don't applications make it integral to make a web browser within their app? I spent last one hour just sitting on my phone jumping apps when I noticed that I jump app when I click link in app, it takes me to a browser and when making it back, I get distracted and use some other app! Doesn't all app want maximum screen time? Then having a browser in side the app will definitely increase screen time by having their full attention confined.
is there a way to use the Harry Potter remote control wand on the Amazon fire Tv?
I might make a actual post for this BUTTT, I recently broke the screen on my laptop and I have a monitor for it. But now it's not portable.
Anyway, I would like to know of a cheap laptop or tablet that I can run google and google drive and such, on, so I can do school work and things. No gaming, just school stuff. Thank you.

After seeing a post about how the devs of some anti-piracy measure on the Windows Vista install disc hid a photo of themselves as a hologram on the discs i got to wonder...
Could anyone give me a more detailed, but also concise explanation as to why the Vista failed as an OS. I know it had unreasonable requirements, but what else caused it to fail?
Say I wanted to browse the internet without being blocked from certain websites at work or school. I can't use a proxy, install chrome extensions or use the Https trick. Would I be able to access all websites from a portable browser on a USB stick? Would I need some form of proxy alongside it? If it helps the blocking system is called lightspeed.
What have you guys found is the best tablet for under $300 CAD? I'm going looking around today and mainly don't want to spend an arm and a leg because I'll only use it the odd time for writing down a set of notes here and there and watching Netflix on it
I'm surfing Reddit with my Sony Xperia XZ. What takes less battery charge: surfing in night mode on 60% brightness, or in day mode on 30% brightness? I'm sure it somehow depends on display type, but I don't remember exactly

So I'm with 3 mobile in the UK and have been tethering my laptop to my unlimited mobile data for over a year now.
However they updated their plans in August and even though I'm technicaly on the same plan I'm having issues with the tether speed but only between 3pm and 12am. My mobile data speed is good 24/7.
I've contacted them and there is no throttling on data or tethering apparently.
Both devices are upto date.
Anyone else having a similar problem or have a theory why it's doing this suddenly?
Tldr: How can I make my tethered windows pc traffic appear to my provider the same as my mobile traffic?
