One of the tricks at X-not-wal-mart was to claim commission portals as online purchases. (Where the store ordered from a portal; ie website that is semi-locked down from public access.)
I'm not surprised. I don't think the public has the name 'Walmart' linked to web sales in any way.
On the other hand, they bought Jet.com and that's a decent web shopping site. But I doubt it's seeing the numbers Walmart needs for a real Amazon competitor.
Didn't they intentionally sabotage their online store a few months back, by raising the prices higher than their physical stores hoping the people will come in?
