"A Different World" marathon on TV ONE was excellent. It has to be the only show that not only survived but thrived after its original main character the show was built for (Denise) left the show.

52 seshfan I'm leftist as hell but this show completely falls flat for me. You're never gonna make a parody of Alex Jones that's funnier than the insane shit Alex Jones says. Clickhole is literally doing [the exact same show](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lODMZ0cf6bI) and I think it's just as bad.
30 Evtona500 Great! Another show about politics that's supposed to be funny. Exactly what we needed. /s
10 [deleted] Trying to do another Colbert is going to be difficult. You have to really commit to the role and this too closely resembles his Daily Show shtick.
22 CokeCanDick Soooo, like a 30 minute long Daily Show correspondent segment sans laugh track? Oof... this probably won't last longer than Larry Wilmore's abortion of a show. The dumbest thing Comedy Central ever did was let Samantha Bee slip to another network.
10 Frankwasbetter Notice how no one is attacking him.
16 Argikeraunos I'm not a Conservative, quite the opposite, but my god, do we need another smug show that pisses on rural conservatives and lets liberals pretend their half-baked feelings and ideas are somehow more educated than the half-baked ideas and feelings of Conservatives? I really believe this sort of thing is seriously damaging.
4 Archimedes_Toaster Will not be the successor to The Colbert Report. I'm not sure why this isn't glaringly obvious but making fun of the opposition as "stupid" or "voting against their own interests" is not gaining traction with voters and will not broaden your tent; it's in fact doing quite the opposite. Colbert was successful because he was lampooning the media. Going after voters is just unempathetic and stupid.
2 deano2ooo This feels like it should have come out last year
2 juliusaurus Satire doesn't work against idiots. It's just stroking ego and has the unfortunate side effects of people misunderstanding and voting Donald Trump as president.
