I watched it this morning and thought it was hilarious.
I was waiting for the author to get annoying, as is required of all 2010s think pieces. Heroically almost avoids it until invoking Rock's gender "stereotypes" at the end. It's one of the longest stretches of "not annoying" in 2010s thinkpiece history, real achievement.
Just finished it. It's awesome and surprising. Mr Rock - bitch don't call him Chris - repeatedly puts himself in a vulnerable position as he talks about some heavy personal stuff. It was interesting to see the confusion in the crowd: at points they didn't know whether to clap or not. Same mood as in Dave Chappelle's The bird revelation. I loved it !
When is the next one dropping?
Another special by a male comedian, another attempt to label him problematic in some way.
Hopefully we can all just ignore this like the Chappelle nonsense
I'm excited for the guy. Never rubbed me the wrong way! I'll be rooting for him on the sidelines
It was great from start to finish.
