Walking is free, golfing is expensive
Saying that "walking" is a leisure activity is kind of like saying that breathing is a sport.
I wouldn't exactly consider it a leisure activity.
In my case, I hate exercise, but have to do SOMETHING to keep from getting too fat.
How does this compare to only Florida?
Next I'm waiting for a new study that says sleeping is the most common leisure activity.
I walk at least 8 miles 3 times a week for leisure. I'm not exercising or going anywhere in particular. Just walking and enjoying nature and life.
It sounds to me that 96% of the population needs to play more golf. Also wouldn't the 4% of golfers be contributing to the 41% that walk for leisure? I use a golf cart 80% of the time I play, but still have to get out and walk after the ball quite a bit.
