I remember seeing a interview with him saying ridick or at least his interpretation of ridick was tgat of a Drow Elf.
Ridick is Drizzt.
Yep, turns out Vin Diesel is actually a huge nerd.
Didn''t he also get Dame Judi Dench to play D&D with him?
He also plays World of Warcraft and so does Ronda Rousey.
The Last Witch Hunter was based on his D&D character.
Brian Posein tried to get him on his D&D podcast (I think it was "Nerd Poker") for a long time. I would have loved to hear that one.
He seems like a really interesting and nice guy. I find it impressive he seems to bring so many different kinds of people together as fans. He's kind hearted and smart, too. Heck of a guy!
TIL Vin Diesel is more of a badass than I originally thought.
TIL Vin Diesel is 50.
Man I feel so old now.
Since people in such threads often ask "How do I get into RPGs?"
/r/rpg is happy to help - the sidebar link is full of a list of great RPGs for beginners.
Many cities have a group on meetup.com or similar where you can meet people and try RPGs as a one-shot without committing to any permanent group. Once you've tried some, you can try joining an existing group, though in my opinion the best way to do it is to start fresh with your existing friends.
DnD is to RPGs is like Final Fantasy is to video games, in a way - there's a bunch of different ones with similiar themes, but each one is different and people fight about the best one. And also it's expensive. And also complex.
You *do not* need to start RPGs with DnD - in fact, I recommend against it. In the same way you might try Final Fantasy 13 and hate it, it you might try DnD and be really put off RPGs when what you really wanted was the RPG equivalent of Super Mario Odyssey or Rainbow Six or Mass Effect or Dishonored (especially Dishonored - there's a new game out, *Blades in the Dark*, that people are pretty hype about).
Tell /r/rpg what kind of genre and playstyle you're into and you'll be sure to get a bunch of answers, many of which will be free or low-cost.
edit: and if your point of view is "but I just wanna do what the kids on *Stranger Things* are doing", then your actual best RPG choice is [Dungeon World](http://www.dungeonworldsrd.com/
) - which you can buy as a proper book, but my link goes to the full rules - just missing some examples and flavour, as a tryout or tester.
Poor Vin Diesel, desperate to be seen as a serious actor, only to be forever known for those awful Fast & Furious movies.
