I remember something about a video showing a deer eating a bird. I don’t remember much about it beyond being super shocked.
I once saw a squirrel eating a dead mouse. I had no idea squirrels ate meat. I read that they can and will eat meat if the pickings are slim in terms of food supply. Seems to be the same for deer.
