How would you store that much energy? Time for batteries to start evolving faster.
this is basically why nuclear will always be the most important energy source in modern/future times, solar panels are basically limited by a little less than 34% absolute maximum efficiency and there is only so much surface area on the planet, wind is basically the same.
the only real long term renewable energy source is nuclear.
there is the storage problem though (both in batteries and of nuclear waste).
maybe unless some theoretical thing comes along or we can make antimatter in sufficient quantity or subspace without having a Dr Rodney McKay who is cool jumping out of the reactor.
Or we could make a 100 billion megaton nuclear bomb
Kardashev II civilization. Seeing as how we aren't even Kardashev I, we have a long way to go to realize this.
