454 ltjisstinky Gotta keep your eyes closed while your phone is getting stolen, got it
492 OptimusSublime Had this exact thought. First thieves, then cops.
198 akaijiisu Did I hear right? $1,000 for this phone?
85 sledsbehave criminals gotta work hard now, remember when you just grabbed shit and ran? now you got get face id, apple pay, hope the cashier is willing to now let you pay with this person's phone you just stole. i mean it's possible, but it sounds like a long shot.
19 [deleted] Is it actually pronounced "iPhone ten"? I thought the X would be pronounced like the letter. If that's the case then what will the lower level phone be called after iPhone 9?
7 BatAK11 what about people who have identical twins?

24 thechapattack For those of you who are security minded police can already compel you to unlock your phone by fingerprint and i would imagine that since they can already photograph you they can compel you to unlock your phone that way as well. Passwords/pins are still the way to go it seems Not to mention that reporter just took the phone and pointed it at the dude and was able to access his phone. Sometimes innovation needs to be tempered with security concerns but I guess security minded people are in the minority Edit: I know photographs won't work just like a copy of your fingerprint won't work but cops can force you already to use your finger and I'm betting they will be able to force you to use your face....or for that matter they can just hold the phone up to you and deny the phone was ever locked to begin with.
11 blueprintx NSA is going to love this.
22 Isperia165 That is why using a password is a way better idea then a thumb/face. Someone steals my bio metrics I can't get a new thumb, but I can change my password from 12345 to something you don't use for luggage.
